About Bobbie Field
Bobbie Field has been involved in the music business for over 35 years and turns her hand to many different aspects of music - both in writing and recording, having a small home studio.
She started working in the BBC Popular Music Library at the age of 18, dealing with scores for the BBC's Radio Orchestra. Having had some experience of arranging for small groups during her school years, she began to start arranging for larger orchestras, and by the early 90s was arranging for the BBC Concert Orchestra.
Also during the 90s she began her association with the British Airways Cabin Crew Entertainment Society (BACCES) - initially doing some arranging for them; then in 1998 was approached to be their Musical Director.
She has also been active in her Church, directing the choir since 2007 and leading the Worship Band since 2016. During Covid-19 her studio use increased for recordings, particularly to create hymns or contemporary songs for Zoom church services' online congregation, with her Team of singers and musicians sending recordings in for her to synch and mix. This has often also included adding appropriate visuals, in which she has also begun to get some experience.
She uses Sibelius for notation and ProTools for recording.
